Salmon Teriyaki

The weather was cold. The wind was strong. I fought my way downtown to satisfy my hunger. Actually... My taste bud. =)
I went downtown to this Japanese restaurant yesterday called Ariyoshi. It was introduced by Fanny and have been there quite a few times ever since. =)
I made an entrance and there was a man in black suits with a tie on the phone. No greetings no smiles whatsoever. Ooo.. not very friendly. However, two of the staffs dressed in red greeted me very warmly with a smile.
I settled myself on the table in the corner. It was warm and cozy there. =)
A waitress gave me the menu.
"Salmon teriyaki.." I said.
I actually wanted to order unagi. Yet, they don't seem to have what I was looking for. So salmon teriyaki I ordered... And green tea to drink.
In like 2 split seconds, my green tea came in a uniquely authentic Japanese mug.

Mmmmm... It was so warm. =)
And a few minutes later, came my miso soup. Another warm stuff. ^^

It was quite different from the instant one that I bought haha.. and was also different when I ate it the other times. This time, the tofu was a bit hard.. There were seaweeds. Not too many spring onions and it was quite sandy. =/
And then... out was the bento =D

The bento set contains house green salad, tempura, hijiki and, of course, salmon teriyaki. Oh! And also a bowl of white rice. As an opening, I ate the salad. The lettuce was bitter. But the sauce was amazing like usual! =D I don' know. It was just... different... The whole salad was refreshing! ^^
The hijiki was okay.. I got used to it. The first time I came, I was like "eck!!! what is this thing???"
Tempura was excellent! I just heart tempura. Ooooo... ♥♥♥♥

Oh! And the rice.. It was superb!! Japanese rice I guess. It's always good =)
However, despite all that good food, there was something uncomfortable. The waiter and waitress stood right in front of the tables and you kinda like think that they're watching you eating. And I ate so slow by the way. I just realised. Well not really. But yesterday made me see how slowly I eat lol. There were 3 people who came after me, and left way before me hahaha.
Well anyway, enough about that. It's long enough already =p
And last but not least.... the bills.. $15 including tips. =) not too bad, huh?
Oh! And one more thing! Do not buy Lays® with salt & vinegar flavour. It's just a STRONG taste and smell of vinegar. ECK!!! Well unless you're a fan of vinegar. That'll be a totally different story.
