Prairie of the Fireflies
Once upon a Summer dream,
Alone on my veranda,
Among crowds of verdant greens
A cluster of tiny delicate beams.
In my childish hands I held,
Such a tiny fragile glow,
A hope of timeless gleam
Diminishing, vanishing.
Prairie of the fireflies,
A mosaic of thousand stars,
Flickering, sparkling
In once upon my Summer dream.
