as you may have read from vina's blog (that girl updates friggin fast!), she came over to play the aerith's theme duet. me on the piano, her on the violin.
but after a while, we got so sick of the song. it just never came out right!!! and you really need to practice counting vinaaaa
then, out of some random thought that just popped into vina's head, she asked me to teach her to play "to zanarkand". wow. a girl who's never touched a piano before wants to play to zanarkand as her first piece?? talk about thinking big.
so since she can't read notes either, we settled on me showing her where to press and her memorising the whole thing.
the process was... a pain in the ass =.= an extremely slow learning process with plenty of clapping when she did manage to play a bar right. by 12.30 (approximately 2 hours after she arrived), vina's managed to somewhat play - with pauses inbetween - a grand total of 8 bars. *claps like mad*

after she left, my mum and i went to have a look at this tuition centre my dad found in the internet. i plan to take photoshop/graphic design/animation classes.
that place is soo hard to find!! here's the map given in the website:
so according to the map, it's supposed to be between indomaret and yamaha. but when we went there, it wasn't there.
after some asking around, it turns out... that it's located ON TOP of indomaret. there's not even a name plate or anything!!! nothing that tells that the place exists. if you want to go up, you have to use a staircase at the side of the building.
we didn't even go up and ask around. my mum just commented that the place doesn't look too convincing and we left.
aaand vina came back again!!! to have another taste at the piano. she's getting addictedddd.
by the end of the day, with a total playing time of around... 4 hours? (i don't even practise that long and she just played the beginning of the same song over and over again) she managed to memorise.... a full page of to to zanarkand! *cheers*
phew. we were both sweating and mosquitoes started to appear. and those tense moments...
when her finger lingered on the notes...
unsure of what to press
then she'd make up her mind and...
TEEENGGGG.
which would be followed by either a cheer or a big groan from me.
