i've been wanting to post this since monday but the internet keeps crashing!!!!!!!!! i am, by now, so bored of this post and cursing myself for taking so many pictures. i ended up uploading most of the pictures in my dad's laptop, while he was using it. internet doesn't crash there.
my family and i spent last weekend in novotel, bogor, attending a business gathering bca held.
because i had tuition, i missed the first event!!! seminars for the parents, and....well something else for the kids. my little brother mentioned that there was a magic show; my parents said they could order starbucks for FREE. oh god the jealousy.
here's what my little brother got:
i can't, for the life of me, figure out what that monkey is. instructions say it'll absorb sunlight and bob its head by itself. so maybe it's just a...decoration? ryan gave it to me btw, since he didn't want it, and i want... everything. the blue box is for me too!
at night everyone gathered in the ballroom, wearing bright red oversized bca blouses. see the beautiful thing about these --
[omfg ratna just called, sacrificing her sore throat, to tell me that TWILIGHT IS IN THEATERS. we are so watching it first thing tomorrow]
-- events is that there are plenty of prizes to go around. that night was all about door prizes!!! samsung mp3's, 10 megapixel cameras, a plasma tv, coffee makers and soooo much more. but we.... didn't get any... what's with the luck in this family...
not to worry though! more prizes available the next day. time for some outdoor games. gifts were given to everyone who joined, not just the winners.

each family/group (max 4 people) lined up to pass an orange balloon to the back in this manner:

2nd game: fish
the smallest child had to scoop up little fish from the pool.
he would then trade buckets with a family member standing in the middle of the space.
the middle person would run with the bucket to the other side and pour the fish into another bucket.
the group with the most fish after 2 minutes wins!
i met jopin while doing this game. i'd actually seen her on the other side of the ballroom the previous night but was still unsure whether it was her. today she saw and called me (with english pronunciation).
3rd game: cooking
buuuuttt the women couldn't help. it was the daddies' turns to cook. my own dad was... sleeping upstairs. he's not one for games. or prizes.
i'd gotten tired of wandering around.
my sleeve felt uncomfortable and when i reached inside, i found:
=.= bca people love scotch tape. you should see the amount they used for wrapping up all those gifts.
have i told you that i love this hotel? it has everything!!! swimming pool, basketball, tennis, badminton and volleyball courts, playground and even a kid's room.
what the kids ended up doing
our room:
we just woke up, of course it's messy. and my little brother seemed to always appear whenever i wanted to take a picture.
so let's open aaaall our presents.

and because we didn't get any door prizes, they actually gave us these before we went home!!! i love bca people.

those plus an umbrella, a fancy pen and a basket of fruits (with crumpled newspaper underneath to give the impression that there's a lot of fruits).
oh woops! we missed one!!
okay i don't really get what this is. it says... magic pocket?
and how am i supposed to put the pieces together...
anyone gets the instructions? (woops forgot to rotate it)
and whew i shouldn't have unwrapped everything in my room
