oh...my...fuckin lord.... i have 147 pictures to choose from... *takes a deep breath* let's start...

aall right final number of pictures: 79. i can... live with that. i'm so resizing every picture. and people, i just found out that you can actually do that with paint. just open it and save the picture. mine's automatically resized from 1ish mb to 200ish kb.

let's start the story! this weekend's trip takes us to pulau ayer for angela's birthday. yes, it's ayer, not anyer. i did not make a typo.

mickey brought her dog doll and the girls became rather attached to it. hugging, paw-shaking and all that stuff.

as you all know, we've entered a rainy season here in jakarta. it rains almost eeeveryday. hard, too. so water levels are high and the waves are big. there have been reports of boat accidents, with people missing. my family complained endlessly about us going to the island. but we braved all those waves!!!! and the weather lady was on our side. it didn't rain that day =)

the waves were still kinda big though. riding the boat was like an attraction in a theme park. it bobbed up and down horrendously!!! so maybe "bob" isn't the word. "crashed" then?

we were screaming and cheering whenever the boat jolted. some tried jumping up and down their seats. what should have been deadly waves became kinda... fun :p i feel sorry for the other passengers though. we were a noisy bunch haha. but well there were only a few other passengers besides us.

then after a mere 15 minutes of screaming and roller-coaster-riding, we could spot the island!!!

one time all of us took turns taking pictures there. beautifuuuuuuuuuulllllll *o*

we were wearing our dresses for the party. but that part will come later. for now... sunblock madness!!!!

of course. beaches = sunblocks, tanning and sunburns. somebody's sunblock made faces shine like hell. like you haven't washed your face for days and all the oils dying to be shown off to the world. but it wore off after a short while. or maybe i just stopped paying attention.

games were held by angela's sister. we were divided into 3 teams. mine was the only one consisting of all girls: angela, bella, caroline, me. thank god i didn't bring my camera at that time =.= or i would have died with more pictures and anyway i wouldn't get a change to take any.

not gonna explain the games in great detail (i'd die describing and you'd die reading), but it basically resembles the amazing race. we'd be given instructions or clues after finishing each obstacle. AND MY GROUP WON!!!!! =] i love our teamwork. we started getting ahead of the others in the bakiak race.

my favourite game: tossing water balloons to each pair with a big black plastic bag.

then we jumped into the swimming pool, dirtying it with sand and normal clothing (not allowed) and played arouund. hendy accidentally released a fish into the pool. it just jumped out of his hands. we had quite a hard time trying to catch it and by the time we got it, it was on the brink of death. which resulted in... death itself.

next would be taking showers and preparing for the party itself. the dress code: pink summer dress. don't ask me why it has to be pink =.=

then when we were all pretty and ready, we set off to our destination.

ooh damn wind revealed my bald spot. too bad i don't have photoshop. yes i know my dress isn't so pink. but it was a last minute thing, i just got it the day before!

we were all waiting when suddenly... the grand entrance of two ladies by the pool, followed by a photographer.

they looked so pretty!!!! say hello to the birthday girl:

after that was a blur of cameras and shutters and flashes. eeverybody just crowded around angela and took picture after picture of her. plus all those praises that'd make your self confidence fly up to heavens. hey she deserved them.

angela's sister's dress was actually supposed to be a skirt! and she used... hairbands and other stuff to decorate and complete the whole outfit. i forgot what became what but it's certainly creative!!

the birthday cake? cute!! it's designed as an ocean, with corals, starfish and even a mermaid. i love the blowfish!

before the session for taking pictures started, they lit up firecrackers on the cake. then the different groups rushed to take pictures before they died.

but when our turn came they died :(

wrong!!! they were actually picking out the decorations for the cake. too cute to be eaten.

a bonfire was also lit. aaah my first bonfire

we roasted marshmallows!! i remember i did that once with my sister, using the cooking stove. we got scolded by my mum :p

this time we used satay sticks. short little satay sticks. on a big bloody hot flaming fire. no wonder mine failed. i couldn't stand the heat from the fire. and by that time my camera had run out of battery, hence the absence of pictures of marshmallows :p people should know by now that i take pictures of anything and everything.

philip's surprise kept me from sleeping that night. i was already friggin sleepy but had to wait for his call, saying that he'd finished preparing everything. so we just chatted on the three extra beds we dragged into the living room. janet, mickey and ratna had fallen asleep.

the surprise resembled a reality show!! complete with:

blindfolding, a sweet slideshow, fireworks (wow), roses, tears and hugs (both individual and group hugs)

look at all the sweat from preparing everything. oh god what is that thing burning in the background?

6 people in that space. angela and bella came in later when we were all asleep and they used one of the bedrooms. if they hadn't come in late, i think they'd have shared the space too :p

when we were about to sleep, ratna WOULDN'T SHUT UP. she kept going fuck fuckety fuck fuck fuck (to the kids reading this blog, do not copy) and reciting this episode of southpark: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEhfydhSXBg&feature=related until i told her to shut up lots of times and went "WOOOOWWW!!!" in high pitch while messing up her hair.

by the way we brought the stereo into our room at night, after the song "booty bounce" got stuck in our heads and we booty bounced all the way.

the next morning!!! we woke up at 7ish to mickey's korean alarm, snoozed twice i'm pretty sure. we wore:

bright-coloured bali shirts from angela with swimming suits underneath, plus pants

janet got sick :(

some went banana boating, others went fishing. my first banana boat ride!!! ah was fun~ except that time when we fell into the water and had to swim back to the boat and ratna pulled me just when i was getting close to the boat.

later on, mickey actually fished on our balcony. and it turned out it was damn easy to catch fish there!!!

after that i took a shower. i think they got another one.

pulling the hook from the fish's mouths proved to be tricky for amateurs.

the fish would suddenly flip and flop around and people would scream and drop the fish

once, the fish jumped and allison got shocked and knocked caroline's hand while she was holding the cookie jar and look what happened :(

angela's dad taught them how to hold the fish still. hold down their gills/fins or something? it went waaaay better after that.

i actually slept in the ride home. kept waking up though. it was a lot calmer when going back home. no screaming at all we were all tired. when we'd reached jakarta, ratna actually asked "when is the boat going to go?" or "when did the boat go?" or sooomething along those lines, i forgot. she slept the whole way through and didn't notice when we departed!

todaaay i woke up aching all over =.= my mum told me sophia called and asked for me *o* shush evan she can be cute sometimes. brothers are just biased.
