happy chinese new year everyone!!!
i see the others have done their chinese new year posts. that's extremely fast! i read all of them while one of my cousins stared at the computer screen the whole time. yes, even while i was chatting. that was awfully awkward. who would want somebody they don't really know to stare and read everything you're typing. and i found out later that she actually understands english well enough to read the first volume of harry potter. thank god i took the precaution of shortening every word as humanely possible when referring about her. but of course sammy had to blow it all by replying as clear as daylight. anyway, i pretty much ran out of things to do and just logged off. [i hereby end this fat paragraph]
kids love chinese new year!!! it's the day when you get money from every adult you meet! and i seem to be doing pretty well so far. people are being more generous this year. i remember a long time ago, i was given a red packet that contained five sheets of rp. 1000 notes (totals up to less than 50c) and i felt so cheated.
today i had a tiny moment of private pleasure by watching sophia reject my cousin - the one i still hold a grudge with due to her losing some of my comics. she was doing all those peek-a-boo, mock-chasing, tickling, ladida stuff you do to kids. but instead of responding with a smile or laughter, sophia kept running away from her with a pained expression. and... she finally cried after some time. the perfect final touch.
quite a lot of relatives gathered in my house in the afternoon. picture taken after 1 family had gone home. i haven't visited all relatives yet. again, happy chinese new year!
