i was searching through boxes of unused primary and secondary textbooks, trying to find my p6 chinese textbook to lend to evan, when i found these:

old files and papers! how nostalgic! after i was absolutely sure that that chinese textbook had mysteriously erased itself from the surface of the earth, i flipped through the files.
the pen irene - i think - bought for me, jo-c and vina
look! a project from ms vanda!
it contained mostly of my past drawings, dating back to 2004. i would be.. primary 6? i couldn't find any recorded date before 2004. some weren't even dated! there's a whole file without any dates on it. i was so frustrated when flipping through and forever wondering when it happened. so people!!! date everything! even those meaningless doodles. believe me you won't regret it when coming across them in a few year's time.

the cover of a humanities project!! i remember that's vina's buffalo paper. she had a whole stack of that colour. i don't remember what the project was about. do you, vina? it says we paired up for this:

yep, i found a lot of vina-related stuff. like, how 'bout this:
i drew the left side while she did the right. what a contrast. the other side of the page looks like this:
so i'm assuming we did it in 2008
a character from a comic titled "curry club". i remember last time, vina kept laughing on and on, never stopping, whenever i just mention the phrase "curry club". she found it amazingly hilarious and none of us knew why
i have vina's drawings toooo~ but let's not post it here she might be embarrassed =p let me just tell you that mine is... absolutely horrible. horrifying. the ones i posted are still ok. the others.... o god.
instead, i'll show you how vina used to draw dogs:

finally! something that actually happened in p5! there's no date at all but i'm pretty sure. moreover, this is still the old blue foolscap paper. and by p6, we've begun using the new green one.
i somehow think this happened in p4 but i'm not sure. these i copied off ratna's metal pencil box
yes i also have ratna-related drawings. like this one, for example:
seems like she was already vulgar at such a young age
ratna and i were sworn enemies for years! i did quite a few mean drawings representng her. here's a not-so-mean one:
others i will not post =p
and in an elmo book i found....

it's labelled "P5". this was when my gang consisted of angela, allison and stephanie. here, angela and i tried to draw each member of the class blindfolded. in this book there's also some conversation we had on paper. mostly about guys we had crushes on at that time.
a winnie the pooh file! it has scripts for dramas my sister and i wrote looong long ago
and in a separate file, i found other scripts...
a hansel and gretel thing vina and i did for english with ms nancy. i forgot what that was for. and....
!!!!!!!!
i was SUPER EXCITED when i found this!! this crumpled flimsy piece of paper. i've been looking for it for AAGES. it's our masterpiece!!! this was another english project, this time with vina and allison. it's about the creation of volcanoes (fiction of course) and made into a puppet show! a surprisingly successful puppet show at that. we were told to hold presentations in an open house, and also in assembly, in front of the whole school.
heeey we were in sec 1 washington
vina voiced the male god while i did the female, the grandma. i also had to do these chants:
it's when she's creating hills and volcanoes
i also found the character design for the male god which vina drew:
omg i'm so glad i never throw away anything!
i think the workers' outfits were a little more complicated that that...
so we drew them on manilla paper, cut 'em out and pasted sticks on them. i did the background of the caves, allison did the forest, vina did the..... hills?? was it hills??
we had to record the whole script. we even did sound effects, stomping our feet and so on. if you noticed, the script has scribbled notes of the sound effects needed.
i remember we presented behind two overturned tables with batik cloth draped on it. it was bloody tiring to hold those stick figures.
last one! the autograph section from the school diary. i don't know why but everyone wrote what they loved along with their signatures.
