after being absent in blogging for like a week, all i blogged about was that short one-picture post???? ok i'll compensate. here's one of the birthdays:
kenny's birthday was celebrated on the 28th of february (pretty late update huh). twice.
the first part was, of course, our surprise party for him, disguised as my farewell. i'm not going anywhere but he didn't need to know that.
since kenny's birthday falls on the 29th of february - which only exists 4 years once, so technically he's currently only 4.25 years old - it was decided to celebrate his birthday as you would a little kid's. complete with clowns and balloons and childish songs. i thought the idea was pretty creative!

time: 10.30 am
there were cardboard pirate hats for everyone!
we wrote our names with our left hands so it'll be messy and kiddy-like, and also added childish drawings beside it.
these windows overlook starbucks, where the guys waited for kenny to arrive. then when he finally did....
the usual blindfold trick
but zomg!!! olive and popeye aren't in their costumes yet!!!! let's go for another round....

right on to games. five people were chosen for each game. our first kiddy game involved blowing balloons and then sitting on them until they pop. i came in second. and gosh my ass hurt. my balloon wouldn't pop even when i sat with my full body weight on it!!!
second game: musical chair. everyone looked so haaaappyyyy. being a kid is fun.

third game. there were 4 players, 2 boys and 2 girls.

so the guys had to tuck in their shirts. then the girls would insert a.... marble was it? into their shirts and they'd both try to let it fall into the pants and beyond....

ok they had to pick it up after it dropped to the floor.

fourth game:

as you can see they had to keep that balloon there. while dancing. but in the middle of the game, something unexpected happened.....
what the hell is vika up to???!??!
is he trying to... steal partners....... *blush*
ken and janet won. and that ended the games section. so after that was basically the whole cut-the-cake-blow-your-candles-make-a-wish-take-pictures-
then-eat part. woopsss make a wish before blowing the candles. ma baddd.
when kenny was forced to give the first cake to a girl, he gave it to me, saying he'd give it to the one leaving soon. and for one moment i really actually believed that i was leaving. then someone explained to him that it was a lie to trick him into coming and i came to my senses. and felt stupid at the same time.
nowww for the second part of the celebration. the one kenny planned to hold. we met up in pluit junction at 5.30. well the girls were late.
as usual, a picture taken in the toilet. i don't know why girls often take pictures in bathrooms.
we watched the pink panther 2. and i must say...... it... sucked?!??!?!?! throughout the whole movie i was like.... is this supposed to be funny? there were these kids going hysterical with laughter. i only laughed slightly a few times. other times it's more like "huh". seems like they're only trying to be funny.
dinner was at cuisine cuisine. wait was that the restaurant name? i kinda forgot.
