ratna's birthday

i guess you should know by now that for every birthday, there's a surprise waiting. ratna's birthday was on the 2nd of march, and by then, everyone had run out of ideas on ways to surprise her. so it was decided that we would wait for her in puri mall and ambush her before she enters celebrity fitness.
but she never came!!! we were all getting worried and frantic. what if she suddenly decided to cancel going for fitness??? her phone was either busy or not picked up. messages weren't replied. the cake was making us drool.
finally, my call got in. to explain my calling her for soooo many times, i made up a lie and gushed out that i met her ex in the lobby. i then set out alone to meet her in xl centre, after promising to the others that i'd bring her to celebrity fitness.
it turned out she had to eat lunch first. in canton bay, where her mum was waiting. change of plans!! i quickly sms-ed angela, saying she's eating in canton bay. then angela actually called, telling me to pretend that i'm her mum. so i told "mum" to meet me in canton bay.
i noticed ratna kept glancing towards the entrance. was she suspicious??? 'cuz i've asked for her plans for that day (angela told me to. it's like so obvious), and i just very coincidentally appeared in puri mall after i knew she would be there, and is it weird that i asked my mum to come meet me instead of me finding her?
ratna noticed the whole class standing at the entrance, carrying the cake, before i did. she exclaimed.... something. "oh my god" was it? then they entered singing happy birthday.
and yes she had been suspicious. the reasons above plus the fact that janet miscalled her 4x, when usually she never calls. janet!!!! i thought you only called once!!!
thank god canton bay was empty. we were the only ones there. i felt kinda bad cuz we asked for lots of plates but didn't order anything. but thanks canton bay people! sorry we didn't order anything. apparently it had been decided that we'd treat ratna in hanamasa.
the next day!!! second part of the celebration. ratna and i actually planned this beforehand. we'd go to ex and she'd treat me for lunch, just a tiiiiny hint of celebrating her birthday.
after much walking around, we finally decided to eat in pancious. i like the design of the place:

they actually pinned each individual reflective circular thing, and had a fan built below them. creative?
we ordered:
fettucine carbonara. tasted much better after adding cheese powder
pancake with ice cream topping (and you can add maple syrup if you want to)
ratna's drink: hot chocolate marshmallow. cute!!! and good too
my wtf drink
it's actually mint ice tea. i already imagined a cool minty taste accompanied with the ice tea, but my initial reaction when taking my first sip was "wtf". it just tasted.... wrong! maybe this picture will explain why:
ew? asides from that, the other dishes we ordered were fine. i'm actually beginning to like pancakes now.
ratna went crazy and chopped a little portion of the pancake into tiny mushy icky pieces dipped in melted chocolate ice cream
there was a time when she'd recite a south park episode. then another time when she'd go "bama... bama..... bama......" (watch umbrella parody in youtube). now she's on a new phase and she keeps saying "you sick fuck" in every darn speech she makes. it's bloody annoying.

it was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *o* i have no idea why the ratings aren't so high. all the pretty girls with good style. a movie with a good plot, actions and good-looking characters. what more do you want? maybe it'd seem too unreal for some (as you can see from the poster, they have superpowers. think fantastic four), but well it's fiction. "unrealness" wouldn't hurt. and i guess the movie makes you think sometimes.
anyways, watch it!!! from the way it ended, there's bound to be a sequel though, maybe that's what lowered the ratings?
