whew tired

i can't keep up with little kids' energies. it already tires me enough to play with sophia for a long period of time. today, a new addition was added: her cousin, alvin. that guy has a ton of energy.
he's like every other boy, up for active games, running around, jumping on beds, shooting invisible guns while making weird sound effects, pretending to be monsters destroying everything, and, last but not least, teasing girls.
how many times today did he try to bury sophia under the blanket, smothering her face with it. then she'd keep wailing until he stopped. or how about him snatching her pink hello kitty doll and running away with it? she'd scream and ask me to retrieve it.
and that big, life-sized, pink doll.... he suddenly pounced on it and screamed "i'm gonna rape her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" in indonesian. absolutely shocked, i asked him "what grade are you in????" to which he answered "primary 3." holy crap, kids these days.
happy 11th birthday to evan! jelly with two red candles on top replaced a cake. it was just a simple family celebration of blowing the candles and taking pictures,where evan never smiled at all. i'm telling you he's worse than ken. maybe it's cuz he was scolded by his mum a while back. his mum's pretty scary when she scolds. she uses hokkien though, so i unfortunately don't get a thing.
oh and for those curious about my new haircut, here are two pictures from yesterday:

it's bloody short. even though i actually planned to grow it. and did i tell you i've taught sophia the beauty of taking pictures with a self-timer? and now she can set it by herself too.
