TAKE ME THERE!
hello, it's me
Monday, April 13, 2009 x 7:35 PM
i haven't been blogging!!! or so i thought. but when i checked, the last time i blogged was exactly a week ago. sure felt like two. and since my sister used normal font for the previous post, and i see that it looks prettier for this blog layout (now the only difference between our posts are the signoff and the fact that i don't capitalize), i will copyy!!
there has been nothing blog-worthy. unless you want me to dump my research on fleas and ticks (additions for my should-be-extinct list) and home remedies here. i have currently finished summarising five pages worth of the topic. with bullet points!!! now who wants them?
yes that's what i've been doing for the past few days. google like mad. read up on everything.
i found an article on bell training your dog. this basically means that you teach your dog to ring a bell everytime it wants to go outside to do its business. cool right!!! read up here.
i found another article on how to choose good dry dog food. but there aren't many brands available here. and i have yet found one that doesn't contain corn at all. and pedigree really does suck.
okay now for today! i paid a visit to the pet shop. wwhyyyy? for my... to-be pet which i will pick up tomorrow at 10 am and no later than 10.30. did you guess did you guess? i'm getting almond!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no i'm not talking about the food nut almond stupid, go read two posts back.
so in this rushed moment of happy shopping, i spent 1/4 of my share of pocket money for this month (haiah 'cmon mum rp 400k is so not enough for a month!). so this painful fact made me realise that i can't pamper almond as much as i want to.
i bought dog food, a dog bowl and a 2-in-1 flea comb (all that research made me). initially i'd planned to buy an aluminium food bowl, since plastic ones wear off so much faster, and the dog will most probably chew it (like cookie did). but they looked so plain and metal and ugly i finally succumbed to the plastic one. and i just found out the dog food i bought contains citric acid. which means i shouldn't pre-moisten it. crap.
i'll bet pet shops make a ton of money. the prices are atrocious!!! a comb or brush for your dog can even cost 100k! i refrained from looking at the doggie beds. they were ugly anyway. it should be much cheaper to buy similar but bigger ones meant for babies.
and i didn't buy a shampoo. one can cost 3-5 times as much as mine does. i didn't even glance at the toys section, but i bet they're overpriced.
for now, let's look forward to tomorrow, when i'll gladly cross off an item from that yellow post-it sticker on the right.
