after hours and hours and days and weeks of staring at the computer all the time, it's a relief to actually do something with my hands! i actually enjoy doing mock ups. it's hard, but fun :D

we had design labels for wine bottles. i'm doing rosemount.

those are mine over there!! can you seeeee? i'm pretty satisfied with them :D unlike the previous packaging project which turned out like shit. i was jumping up and down with glee for this one! but my lecturer only commented that they were "interesting". cih.

lia's works are always so complex to do. this time, she decided to avoid her usual vintage style (which was what i chose for this one) and went for something modern. her mock ups involved a lot of masking tape, stickers and some spray painting too.

in the end irene and i decided to spray paint our bottles black. looked more expensive!

see see doesn't it look better than the first pic, where the bottles looked green and cheap

we also had to record a radio commercial for another one of our projects. and that was when i discovered the beauty of garage band. we played around with the different effects. apparently if i used the "female to male" effect on my voice, i'd sound like an american dad. but when we used it on lia's, she sounded like a tranny.

don't they look like radio presenters? abang brought a mic from guitar hero lol

and i had lia run around the room for 3 laps so she'd get the energy for the recording :p

and of course there were those meaningless bits of time when we just fooled around.

hahaha wheelbarrow!

this was an empty classroom with lots of random stuff lying around the place.

next week is the packaging for the wine bottles!

it's past midnight. i have drunk a big glass full of warm tea, with extra sugar, in the hopes that either the caffeine or sugar will kick in so i'll stay awake.

you know what would be nice? to sleep, and dream of wonderful, creative designs of logos and beverage labels and packagings and all the projects you have. so when you wake up, all you need to do is sketch them out and voila. you're done. no need to spend so much time staring at that blank page in your visual diary. or browsing the net and books looking for inspiration. all it takes, is to dream.

it would be like surrealism, where your dreams become inspirations. does it sound stressful to have assignments circling your head even in your sleep? i definitely won't mind if i find a solution for them in dreamland.

so dear dream lord or fairy or the big friendly giant from roald dahl's novel, please let me dream of "go green" logos tonight. something that's never been done before. something that'll grant me a really really good grade. oh yes yes yes, please? pretty please? i said the magic word, so i'm expecting something magical to happen!

here's what it looks like when my days are overwhelmed with project after project after project:

oh holy crap right. so bloody crowded and unorganized!!! wait. unorganized? it's actually very organized. in fact, i can divide it into 5 sections:

1 is for the kleenex wrapping project

2 is the raffles poster

3 is the calpico soda packaging

4 is the "coke side of life" poster ads

and 5 mostly consists of screenshots of my friends' works.

when we're doing our assignments at home, some of us go online and share our progress through screenshots so we can see if we're lagging behind, or the standard of the others' works. something like these:

i must say this past week has been heaven. we still get assignments, but with plenty of time to breathe. plenty of time to do more than just breathe!!! but. oh but. there's always a but with these things. i am afraid my time of pleasure is ending. we are entering the busy stage again. goodbye my 8-10 hours of sleep!!!!

why am i still here anyway??? i have assignments to do!! oh my soft bed, my warm blankets. wrapping it snugly around me, when the room's pretty chilly. and outside the raindrops drizzle on the asphalt roads. sometimes i just wanna sleep forever....

a mini space i set up to take photos for my packaging project. just a table lamp and a white towel on a desk. i just grabbed the towel cuz it was the first white thing i saw. and it turned out to be a good choice as i sprayed water on the bottle for a more... fresh effect.

so this is where i work on my assignments now. my little brother's room, only he doesn't really use it since he sleeps with my parents. it's neater than my room, with no distractions.

i like shooting things on a white background, they look so clean.

that was the brief, fun part. now it's back to the computer. i have edited so many pictures of fireflies and rats and hamsters and ducks and swans and dogs and beetles and ladybugs and moths and butterflies and bears and horses i think my head's gonna explode.

this week i will experience fully, agonizingly, how it feels like to be a design student. yes it has been busy, but i've always managed to squeeze in some (if not a lot) of play time. but now........

let's just list down what's due when:

friday: one coke poster

monday: start raffles poster on computer

wednesday: soda packaging 1/2 dozen (that means 6 bottles' labels plus the cardboard thingy which holds them together)
labels for soda can version (4 flavors)
2 other can shapes (4 flavors each) + 3d rendering
12 kleenex tissue roll wrapping

holy cow.

holy moly.

holy mother of god.

all within one week from now. it looks worse when listed down like that.

i think.... i'm gonna die.

i have even organized a schedule for what i have to complete each day.

i've done that once and i think it really helps. now let's just hope i'll actually follow it.

actually i'd prefer a cat (cuz they're bigger and huggable and more pet-able), but i don't think that's going to happen. and i have entirely given up on keeping dogs. it's just not meant to be. but that's a story for some other time.

hamsters, on the other hand, are said to be the easiest pet to keep. and they're fucking cute, yes???? the only problem is, their life span is said to only be 2-3 years :(

a famous pastime for girls? practising your narcissism skills! dress up, do your hair, take lots of pictures. since my hair is too short (boohoo), i grabbed my sister's and played around with it. this is how it turned out:

Sweet Escape: Lembang

6 long hours........ we finally arrived at our destination!!!

villa air (a.k.a water village), lembang.

i stepped out of my car and took a deep breath of out-of-city air. fresh! although there are still a few exhaust fumes.. and some horse smells... it's still better than sniffing the air in jakarta.

everybody stepped out of the car with a ton of excitement. we ran around and had a gander at everything in the villa.

we've been here once before. it was smaller than i remembered. maybe because i was so little back then, and everything seemed to be large? i don't know. but it's kind of japanese... but not really. very wooden. sliding doors, wooden sandals, wooden floors, floor-leveled bed. and just like its name, it's stands on the surface of the water.

on the first day, since we arrived around 4 or 5 in the evening, we didn't really do anything other than being as excited as a little kid that just got a new toy. we played congklak the whole evening.

for those of u who have no clue what congklak is, it's an indonesian traditional game. it's quite long and complicated to explain. but the point is, u have to move the pieces around, and whoever has the most pieces and who finishes last wins.

i missed that game. i played it all the time when i was a kid. and we sorta lost the board thingy. and we've learned to NEVER ever(!!!!!!) mess with my mom in congklak.

day 2...

before checking out of the villa, we toured around the the area. there are tea walks, horseback riding, outbound stuff. strawberry farm, and some other animal farms.

found this huge beetle

we went to see the rabbits. omg! are they cute! there are rabbits that look like a dog. fluffy! and huge!

there are the ones that look like they're wearing eyeliners. those were my favorite! well.... ours! it has a funny name.. hotot! LOL! it always makes me laugh for some reason =]

near the rabbit farm there was this cage full of goats. and one goat.... was... extreeeeeemely... NOISY!!!! it kept on bleating. it was fine at first. then... he got more and more obnoxious by the minute. it was like he was saying, "maaaaa.. pay attention to me... MAAAAAA!!! PAY ATTENTION TO ME DAMN IT!"

so we just left him alone... and went to the chicken farm. i looked at all the chickens... living in a cage so small. all it can do is stick it head and peek through holes. it has to eat and drink through holes.... poor chickens. we torture the hell out of them, mass murder them, cook them, and eat them....

next destination... strawberry farm! i just knew that strawberry plants are tiny, and live in a pot-like thingy. all this time, i've always thought that strawberry plants are like bushes.

next.. we just walked around the area, since the tea farm is quite far away.. and we had to check out soon.

the beetle was dead when we came back

we checked out of vila air and headed to bandung for a shopping spree. on our way down, we stopped by this cow farm (i guess?), where it's famous for its fresh yummy milk.

we checked into the hotel and laze around for a little while before going out for a late lunch.

and the shopping spree..... BEGINS!!!!

no pictures though. there's nothing more other than a squirm of people hungry for cheap clothes on sale! yea... they're cheap. AND they're on sale. what more can u ask for? =]

day 3...

we were getting ready to go back home. we only stopped at one factory outlet before going straight back home.

another long hour ride.. and my little brother was whining to go to this place for a marching band practice. first... my sister and i were extremely tired. second... heavy traffic. third... POURING!!!!

so we got there, and nobody was practicing. everybody was getting ready to go home... seriously!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? can u imagine how pissed me and my sister were? it was like a 4-5 hour drive to that place thingy, and i was nauseous coz my of my dad's poor driving skill, and now we had to sit in another long hour of traffic??????? and to top that, the roads were kinda flooded.

but other than that, i think we had a good time =] it felt good to not think about work for a couple of days. yup! i skipped work =] and i could finally get some amazing rest! eye bags... reduced! pimples... reduced! stress.. gone!!!

finally, a new blogskin! i have been so fed up with the previous one. it's so cluttered my eyes hurt. this one's very simple. i don't like it 100% but i love the idea of the landscape changing and animals falling in the sky as you scroll down.

we're going to bandung and lembang in a short while so look out for a post about it ;) in the meantime, i've found some pictures in the drafts which we completely forgot to post. this was when i was still in nyc. we found a new candy store in a mall in queens:

so today has been quite... unusual...

i was at work and one of my friends from ainyc (andre rebuquiao) was online. we talked... about stuff i've never really told anyone before. like probably only 3 or 4 other people (including god) besides me and the person involved. it was pretty weird i can say honestly... coz we hardly ever talked when we were in school, forget about pouring ur hearts out. he told me some stories which made me admire him as a person, and an inspiration in life. it was a very deep and meaningful talk... and i am so grateful we had that talk.

before we ended our conversation he left me a message... he said, "never EVVVVERRRR... lie to your mind in something your heart already knows."

deep? i think so...

3:30 PM

i got off from work and headed to marcia's! she's back! from UK! we talked.. had fun... had our tea time! =D posh, eh?

she showed me the receipt from jamie oliver's restaurant. it was pretty cute

and then headed out to dinner at Sakana. authentic japanese restaurant....

i was so prepared for an extremely expensive bills due to the word "authentic".

so here's what we ordered:

the sashimi... OMG!!!!!!!!! i ate the tuna first. i was expecting a chewy texture, just like the ones in ajisen ramen. but.... it melts in your mouth... ahhhhh... and so did the salmon. i tried raw squid for the first time. it was alright at first.. nice chewy texture... and then... after i swallow the thingy... a bitter taste tinggled in the back of my tongue. it was addictive!

the gyoza was... normal. it just looks cute hahaha.. looks like a pancake. the soup was quite delicious.there was hard-boiled egg, onions, konyaku, potato, and some other stuff which i forgot what they're called. and believe it or not, it was the first time i that i ate konyaku.

so umm.... i'm quite drained right now.. both physically and mentally.. so thatha for now =]

so i know we've been missing for like... god-knows how long. i don't know where to start updating about myself. let's start with.. I've graduated =D and got a job. well temporary.. but still... a job at a wedding photography and video. i'm saying temporary because i'm planning to continue school.

unlike the majority of all living souls, i actually like my job. it's a pretty small company, so it really feels like we're a family. pretty place... nice friendly bosses... and pretty flexible. i can like go on youtube with my boss being there and he actually wouldn't mind. but anyhoo... i'm gonna give u a tiny tour of the place. =]

wow look at the date of the previous post!! it's been... almost half a year? and the weird thing is, people are still visiting my blog. if the counter is correct, then it's probably the same, or possibly more, than when i was still updating regularly!! now how in the world did that happen.

SO GUESS WHAT

i am reviving this blog again!!! do i hear a whoopeeeeeeee? :D i just suddenly felt like it. but the thing is.... i have no idea on what to blog about anymore D: nothing THAT interesting happens. and i don't carry around my camera everywhere and snap pictures of everything anymore :p

what i definitely will do is change this blog skin. i can't even stand looking at it. i really want to design it myself but gosh!! html codes!!! it should be easier using dreamweaver since i can just go to the design tab but i don't really know how to use it either!!

maybe i'll google or youtube for tutorials or something. for now, let's refresh your eyes with a recent picture:

this was taken when we went on a little excursion to amica magazine. the photo turned out great! we look like we were in a studio. i don't remember the walls being that colour.

none of my friends have heard about amica. i myself had no clue it existed until we went there. and it seems like a really good magazine! haven't opened the edition they gave us but their presentation was very convincing.

i'm so boooooooredddd!!!! whenever i have school, i want the day off. whenever i don't have school, i have no idea what to do. somebody ask me out!!!

i was supposed to go to puri to watch ninja assassin with fanny, but her mum found out she has flu and forbid her to go :( awww cmonn it's just fluuu.

since i just discovered a way to transfer files from my phone to my laptop,,, some random pictures:

wow doesn't that sound cool!

i don't know i just suddenly felt like blogging after um..... 2 months of absence??? whew has it been that long??

anyways, fashion weekkk!!! since we have photography class this term, and a fashion design teacher from raffles just happened to be one of the designers for the fashion show, we got ticketssss.

the place was crowded and my class arrived late. half of us got seats, me and 3 others didn't. we were right beside the runway, right against the gate separator thingy. well at least the 3 of them were. i was behind them. not a really good place to take photos. had to keep watching out so i wouldn't get shelly's head or nesia's hand in my pictures.

but it was good experience!! my pictures sucked at first (almost all deleted cuz they were either extremely over-exposed or blurred), but got better. too bad the fashion show was so fast. only 3 designers i think. one of them had nun-like outfits for his/her collection. weirdd

i wonder where people wear these clothes to... actually i think they'll look great without the nun accessories on their heads

i thought the models were all westerners! but a lot are actually indonesians! wow! never see them in malls. i would notice they're FUCKIN tall

do you see what i seeee?? the others said someone had a nipslip but i didn't notice :(

ok so actually, wake me up after 4 days. really, i don't get why when people say they're taking design, others go "it's such a waste!!". design is not easy.

in other news, last wednesday, irene, fane and i went to irene's house for some sushi-making~

then fane decided to show us her egg-cooking skills. the only thing she can cook asides from indomie. she's just like meeeee!! you know in nyc i boiled udon, put pepper, and ate it just like that with eggs. because there was nothing else to eat. and i can't cook.

right! all the ingredients are ready:

shaping the rice. it was a bit like playing with clays haha

but oh dear the end results wasn't too pretty. in my case i put in too much salmon filling and not enough rice to hold it up. so some of the rice balls broke:

and of course we made sushi rolls too. then, we dump the remaining ingredients in a bowl and voila! "salad" ;) fastest to make, and i think it tasted better than the rest :S

after all that eating and watching we just went up to irene's room. and uh.... play with dolls. i play with dolls so much now! cuz fane often brings her meong and that new polar bear to school. you know they called me a "humping freak" cause i made all of irene's dolls hump one another??? hey! they joined in too!

or at least that's what i thought. yesterday i checked and they already had the lock replaced =.= talk about fast.

you know i planned to blog 2 posts today. but then i went to ratna's house, then puri, then did homework. and in puri i did a very very bad thing :( i faked my name and phone number so i could get a free trial to join this dance class. which i really liked. but i feel bad :( last time i already snuck in once.... omy i will never have anything to do with that place anymore.

i think i'll blog tomorrow. or maybe i'll realise i need to do my projects and so i'll blog on wednesday. or maybe i will have to finish up the last project and also scan my artworks and so i'll blog on friday (holiday!!). or maybe i'll go out on friday and blog on saturday. well, keep your hopes up ;)

hello everyooooooneeee. today, i have decided to blog about my school (finally). i go to raffles institute of design. there's a brand new branch in jakarta (main branch is in singapore), so we are the first batch everrrrr. you know i also entered bbs when it just opened. wow.

sooo raffles is in citywalk, sudirman. our school is in a mall! too bad there aren't many shops.

they said the cracks on the wall's caused by the earthquake. which, apparently, nobody else found fun and cool and interesting except me and ratna. why not???? the ground's shaking! that's very interesting. like a mild merry-go-round. i know the cracks on the wall seem pretty serious business, but at home it wasn't that deadly.

but it seems like mr simon had been waaayy ahead of us. all our choices were rejected, and he'd actually prepared choices for all of us. and they all.... contain.... humans. they're all life-like paintings (maybe 1 or 2 isn't i'm not sure. i'm pretty sure mine is). some are life-like paintings...... of naked bodies. lol. here's what fane had to draw:

earthquake!

everyone's so hyped up about it! it was only teeny weeny. to me big earthquakes (or the ones worth getting excited over) are when something falls. even a lamp falling would be enough really. but just now was only a bit of giddiness.

now a tsunami is interesting. i don't live near the sea so i say it is.

i actually thought it was fun *o* i've never experienced one that shaky before! i was lying on my bed when i felt it move. i seriously thought it was almond. i even got up twice to check but he wasn't there. (omg just realised every sentence in this whole paragraph starts with "i". what happened to my english)

the glass on my window was making noises. like it was..... vibrating or something. finally, realising it's not almond, that it's an earthquake, i went out of my room. my maid was screaming earthquake! earthquake! and telling us to go down.

the earthquake stopped in an extremely short while. i didn't even get out of my house. just went downstairs and sat down lazily. i heard a lot of people went outside tho. my dad did when he was working. and of course people living in apartments. so glad i don't live in one! you climb down however many floors, then stand on the streets to find out it's nothing. plus you can't keep a pet.

later on, my grandma told me she was sitting downstairs when she felt the earthquake. initially, she thought almond was under the sofa and she even screamed at him. only he wasn't there. haha.

my mum was in her bedroom on her bed. she also thought almond was under her bed. lol!!!! everyone thought it's almond!

the whole world revolves around money. these days when you want to hang out with friends, you go out to the mall. go out to eat. go play in timezone. watch a movie. go shopping. spend spend spend.

i've been overspending so much now!!! i go out every week. when i was still in high school, i only went out like twice a month. but my standard of overspending is probably different with others. while i might go all concerned about how fuckin expensive this restaurant is, and how i'm going to be completely broke after this, they'll probably go "wdh it's only rp. xxx".

i really am broke now. really. i ask for money so many many times more than usual, and of course my mum's pretty pissed. i feel really bad. my dad keeps procrastinating buying me a laptop, with the excuse that we don't have the money for it, so i really shouldn't be spending much should i?

but sometimes you just want to spend. have fun, eat good stuff, buy pretty things. i probably wouldn't complain too much since i'll feel bad (and maybe i also want it). they won't really switch restaurants anyway right? and maybe i'm afraid they'll go wtf-is-wrong-with-her. peer pressure's a bitch.

i say all this but 2 days later i'm gonna go hang out anyway -.- oh dear the temptation is too great. i guess only ratna'd scold me for overspending =p she spends less than i do!! when she's the one who got me hooked on shopping.

but i like spending. and buying unimportant stuff. buy buy buy. eat out. watch movies. i should get a job. and omg i'm starting to buy comics again wtf. rp.15 000 now!!!!!!!!! bloody gramedia!

now i'm really confused about my opinion on this topic. is it "i hate overspending but peer pressure's made me do it" or "i love spending but don't have any money". or "i don't wanna overspend but i'm weak to temptations". okay it's definitely not the first one.

got them 2 weeks ago. i was going to wait for my mum to notice by herself, but... she never did....... and i doubt she ever will unless i wear those long dangling ones so i told her a few days ago. she just gave me this "wtf" look and went "why would you put holes on nice ears". lol.

i tried taking off the starter earrings a few times but i never could!!! those things are damn tight. my ears hurt and turned red everytime i tried. bled a liiiittle bit once. made me think of this drawing of bleeding ears vina drew on msn (think lots of blood, dripping. it's vina) when we were talking about my piercings.

but today!!!! today i told myself i will not lose to this tiny piece of shit. and i tugged and tugged the left one. my left hand tugged the back while my right tugged the front.

then after like the 10000th tug it FINALLY came off!!!!!! the front piece flew off and i couldn't find it until i looked under my cupboard. i know i looked at the back piece and went "BITCH!!!!!!"

maybe i'll take off the other one tomorrow. i'm waiting to be picked up for school now. where art thou fannyyyy

damn! i was supposed to go to bella's farewell party in nine muses (idk where that is but it sounds fancy. they're having escargots right now), but my stupid brother just had to drive too fast. even when he knows he hasn't driven for a year. he hit the pavement and somehow the car turned upside down. no kidding!!! i thought my mum was exaggerating. but the lucky bastard managed to leave with only a few very minor wounds on his hands. as far as i can see anyway.

so then i had no car to drive me to bella's dinner. grrrrr. i should be thankful my brother's fine. but that idiot!!! he always drives like a lunatic.

anyways, the sms invitation says "smart outfits no hats, tshirts, shorts, torn jeans n sports shoes allowed". i swear that's the exact outfit i was going to wear. i really didn't feel like dressing up all fancy schmancy.

and so at last i wore this secretary-like outfit, plus my mum's heels. i've vowed to myself to never wear them again, at least not to school, around 3x. but i did. since i have to go to the restaurant straight from school. and.... i couldn't go....... damn!!

ok now i feel bad. cuz if you think about it, how can the driver have no injuries even when the car overturned? windows smashed, tires torn, etc etc. extremely lucky. miracle, maybe. okay you know what i'm very glad. and if i think about it i don't really mind missing the dinner. what's a dinner compared to a human life? *wise moment*

in school, we were in the MAC lab thinking of ideas for our op art (last time it was pop art, now it's op art. maybe next time it'll be p art. and then just... art), when mr simon announced he'd be back in 5 mins, and left the class.

then, nesia, fanny and i started taking pictures with the mac computers!!! wow i really love our computer labs. haven't tried the PC lab tho. but the mac lab's fabulous, with its big new shiny mac desktops ;)

oh dear i saved the pictures in my usb. and now my usb is.... gone. i can't even remember if i've taken it out of my bag or left it in school.

i went to bbs pik agaaain. this time it's to watch their excelso cup

i've never really bothered to watch a soccer game. and hey it's actually not bad. only gets boring when they never score. i especially like the parts when they tackle/fall hahahahah. the soccer field has lots of extremely small black pebbles (i thought they were tai cicak =.= lizard shit), it looks like black dust from afar. so when people run, slide, or better fall, they bring up a small cloud of black. ah so cool *o*

i never thought about it, but i'd never been to bbs pik before. last wednesday was my first time. and god AM I JEALOUS.

how come bbs kj, the main branch, looks the worst?????? it's just a rectangular box with awful colours. with some attempts in trying to make it look better. and a carpark as a basketball and soccer field. the fields/courts aren't even flat! place a ball on the ground and it'll roooll away.

pik still has..... architecture. not like i get architecture at all but i know it's not just this rectangular building.

oh you know you know. last saturday i was invited to go watch g.i.joe with my ex-classmates. instead of going i stayed at home and did my powerpoint slides for fernando and humberto campana (school project: choose from a list of designers and do a 15-20 min powerpoint presentation) all day long. AND I FINISHED IT! (oh i think i mentioned that in the previous post)

today the others were all stressing out about their presentations while i feel sooo relaxed~ being diligent definitely pays off =DD now i only need to go over what i plan to say.

and i just found out that the pop art project is due in two weeks' time!!!! not next week like i thought!

as celebration for having finished my powerpoint slides, me will bloogggg!!!!!!!!!

the project was on typography. we had to..... design fonts. think of a concept, and use positive/negative design principles.

my idea was to make alphabets using a clothes line. basically anything that can be hung out to dry. coming up with each alphabet was a major pain in the ass!!!! i needed DAYS to come up with all of them. so damn tiring! and i finally gave up on the G. it's just impossible!

i finished everything in school. 4 hours of working (in skul)!!! and mr simon still made me do the fonts for . , ? and !. for quite some time i just sat there chatting. really didn't wanna think about it anymore!! but that made him think i was lazy........

only nesia got E (for excellent not ABCDE) for class participation (cuz she's talkative like that).

i don't think i had time to think about being bored this week. can you believe that once i got home from school, i did my project???? omg! i haven't done that since kindergarten!

this dada and surrealism project really needs a lot of work - -" oh actually almost all my project does. maybe i have this subconscious thing that makes me design stuff that will take ages to do.

i've just finished the first part of the project!!!! that's the mixed media thing. now i only have the sculpture to do..... in 2 days.

i did it on the floor of my room, and left the materials there to continue the next day. messyyyy. i have like huge stack of washed clothes that i haven't put into my wardrobe.

nowww the things i haven't blogged about. on monday was mr simon's birthday. during break, my class bought a cake for him from breadtalk downstairs (so nice having your school in a mall). then we had a mini surprise party in the library~ we were allowed to eat there juust that one time since it's a special occasion =p

then yesterday, another field trip. don't you just envy me? >=) i arrived in school to be told that we were going to go for another excursion. how unexpected.

this time it's to the jakarta convention centre for this..... "forum grafika digital" exhibition, rp. 20 000 per person. i thought it was an exhibition for graphic designs, but i could only see people advertising their printing. there were a few interesting posters though. we loved one calendar we saw and had them promise to deliver it to us after the exhibition.

we were supposed to also go to a fashion thing with the fashion students! but we got the stupid driver who didn't know the way and the traffic jam was horrible so we decided to go straight here. and we didn't even draw at all like we were supposed to =p not enough time, plus it was pretty crowded. so we just looked around~

fui didn't come. irene and fanny went to a wedding in SEMARANG

i was super hungry!!!!!!!!! in the car we exclaimed everytime we saw a guy selling bakpao. so when we arrived back in citywalk, we decided to eat dinner together. in miitem.

i ordered.... cream something. ewww hate it. me and cindy got so sick.

then.... the bill came:

omfg 30k for tax and service charge. are you mad?!?!??!! nesia and revina didn't have money with them so the others had to chip in. then we realised......

WE WERE SHORT ON 20K. holy fuck!!!!!!!!!! it was so hilarious!! took so long and deliberated a lot. my card wouldn't work (probably ran out of money), revina's card would only work the next day, shelly's flazz only had... idk 50k or something, and they would only accept full payment on a card.

we finally had to call our drivers to ask if they had 20k. when we had the money, the mas mas even counted right in front of our faces. wow they never do that!!

ok now i'm off to enjoy the rest of my free time before i have to start on my sculpture.

3 weeks and already my first excursion in raffles!!! yesterday we were told to gather at the national museum at 9 am.

fanny and i reached there to find the others already sitting and waiting outside (except fui. he woke up late).

in we go~

first, we entered a room with lots of ancient pots. we had to choose one and draw it in 30 seconds. repeated that twice. then we had to draw a pot without looking at the paper at all. in 30 seconds too. i kinda like it cuz then we're not pressured to draw well =p it's supposed to turn out weird!

there were also 5 minute and 10 minute drawings.

next, we entered another room. this time there were sculptures, handicrafts and all those creative stuff people used to make. we had to choose 2 to draw. but i think all of us only had time to draw one.

fanny and i were drawing in a corner. beside us, in the centre of the corridors, fui, revina and someone else i forgot (irene?) were sitting on a circular chair drawing. suddenly when i looked towards them the area was CROWDED!!!

people were surrounding them and watching them draw. we're famous!!!! mr simon was happily and smilingly using fanny's vid cam to capture the whole thing. it's almost like free advertising. later on fui said he heard the people talk to one another and somehow they came to a conclusion that we're in a competition - -"

nesia told us westerners approached her and asked for her name, school, and even for her phone number! she walked away lol.

at around 11.30 we were shooed away by the security guard. lunch break.

i overheard mr simon commenting on revina's piece on the other table. he pointed to the two boobs on the woman and said "these look good" HAHAHAHAHHAHA

then he continued to compare them LOOLLLL. i told the others and we laughed like crazy! i don't know it was hilarious at that time. but nesia reported to simon about it. tell tale!!!!

after that i went to ratna's house and we went to puri to meet irene. I SNUCK INTO CELEB FITNESS!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA (half-forced by them tho). i can't believe it was so easy! but half the time i was scared that someone would suddenly realise i'm not a member and kick me out. i joined them to a "body combat" class. pretty fun. good workout. but sooo long. and i hate push ups!

ok i've been using an excessive amount of sg accent in my blog posts. reading too many sg and malay blogs i'm telling you! so now, i will tryyy to write in good and proper english. no lahs and lors (wait. i don't use that) and ladida.

i didn't go to school last friday because of the bomb thing. and since i was hanging out with vina, ratna and jo-c, of course i felt lazy =p but because of that i missed drawing without seeing the paper, and drawing with ink. it sounds fuuuunnnnn T__T

fanny had to come over to send some notes. actually, "fanny" doesn't really suit her, so i'm gonna refer to her as "fanne"..... or "fane". but "fane" just looks like it'll sound like "fein".

almond was jumping up, scratching, licking licking as usual. and she's the first one who doesn't scream at me to lock him up!!!!!!! ok ratna's the first, but almond used to be hers so it doesn't really count.

usually if vina comes in shorts, she'll get scratched up so badly she'll SCREAAMMM. and jo-c screamed and ran around lol. but fane even commented that he's cute *o* i luv you faneeeeeee!!! =3=

so in my house, we just chatted and even kinda danced to SNSD - Gee. loolll!!!! it's such a cute dance!

we were supposed to go to puri to watch harpot but my mum forbid me to because of the bombing thing. fuck you bombers!!!!! (oops. good and proper english) who the hell would wanna bomb puri?? there's no advantage! barely any westerners, if they're going for westerners, that is. if they want chinese then... mega mall or something.

finally, my mum allowed me to just go there and walk around. no watching movies. we went to fane's house first so she could take a shower and get rid of all the almond drool on her.

her house looks sooo new!!! apparently she just moved in april. it's like the minimalist type. with all the furniture still gleaming and neat and not much clutter. ah how jealous.
