costume party!

the answer the question at the end of the previous post: yes, janet is holding a birthday party!
i don't normally blog about presents i give, but this one took a lot of work!
ratna and i were clueless on what to give janet. but when i first saw a mug in a store, i instantly thought of her. it just somehow reminds me of her.
of course we won't only give her a mug for a birthday present! we planned was to fill it with cutesy stuff and others that we hoped were scrapbooking materials (she likes to make scrapbooks).
so total presents:

i didn't know it was so hard to choose things to fill a mug. does it look like a lot of stuff for that one teeny tiny mug? 'cuz well, it kind of is. i had to think of the perfect arrangement and kept taking everything out again when there wasn't enough space.
but i did it!!!!
that's not actually the final product. some things fell out after that picture and i forgot where i placed them.
now the wrapping part. after watching a tutorial on how to wrap an awkward-shaped present - in this case, a mug....
tadaaaah~
not bad huh? =D i'm quite proud of it. you basically just pleat the wrapping paper upwards.
i was worried janet will look at the present(s) and go like, "what the hell they're all just a bunch of cheap stuff from this store and that store". come on janet let's be honest now, did you really like it??
oh! a quick off-subject thing
foxy is unbearably cute now!!!! so calm, with her black beady eyes.... *o*
on the other hand, the white one lost some fur on its snout and is now less cute
they actually lined up automatically and took turns eating. how adorable is that?!?!?!
back to topic. when ratna and i reached janet's house, she wasn't there yet!!! we let ourselves through the gate, and after some time, her maid invited us into the hous--
.... we were invited into the house.

then vina came, dressed as little red riding hood
she really acted the part! she was skipping around ever so happily, taking a look at everything, and being curious at every object, just like girls from fairytales.

ratna told me janet's going to dress as alice in wonderland. i pictured the typical alice outfit. that blue dress with the white apron and black ribbon. but!!!!

in case you haven't guessed, i dressed up as a waitress. some guessed maid or candy seller. oh and ratna's a bellydancer.
steven's outfit was boooring. just a blue cheongsam. it would've been better if he'd worn that chinese hat with the fake pigtail. but he claimed that he didn't have them. so....
now he's a chinese vampire =D
allison was a spy/business woman. maybe a spy under cover??
angela: devil! her red horns light up and blink!! there's a battery attached at the side. she also drew a devil's tail and tied it to her back with string.
then philip arrived and it turned out that his outfit matched angela's! they looked so cute!

my camera was sucky yesterday i had no idea why. like the picture above. the colour's horrible! and sometimes a spot in a picture would just blur.
this is kind of like a late halloween party, don't you think? =) it's our first costume party!!!
janet's sister became the host and they held games, most which we've never heard of before. it was fuuunnn. required moving around too. my group (mickey, angela and i) won the newspaper game!!!! angela and i must have great teamwork we win whenever we're in a group =p like at her birthday party, for example.
lastly, we went out to eat...
then i went home early, washed my face, changed, passed out on the bed. what an abrupt ending.
ps: i'm now resizing the pictures for faster uploads. for those who wants to steal them, tell me if they're good enough or if you want them in their original size next time.
