taking care of a puppy proves to be extremely tiring. especially if he can't eat dog food yet. i can't believe this is just the 3rd day!!! it feels like weeks! i've walked up and down the stairs and out to the garden and into the house again for god knows how many times. wah i feel healthy already. this feels like exercise.

i'm supposed to go to bella's surprise party today (i told you, a surprise for each party. it shouldn't be surprising anymore), but..... i can't.... it'll surely run late so if i go, there's no one to feed the little one (as of now i'm feeding him 6 times a day. crazy right!), or take him out on potty breaks almost every hour. or watch over him so no one who's against dogs being indoors will lock him into his cage until he screams for eternity. then he'll die of stress and hunger and ratna will come over and stab me over and over with a kitchen knife.

sorry allison, i couldn't reply your sms, masa tenggang. and happy birthday bella! somebody tell her i said happy birthday!! i don't think she reads my blog. oops, i mean our*

now i need to remind myself why i'm doing this:

these are the products of yesterday's mini photoshoot. if you like the previous post's, your heart will melt and you'll faint with the surge of cuteness. when i look at them in the computer....... omggg!!!! i love them!!!! so fuckin cute!!!!!!!!!!!! i would label each photo with a surenez.blogspot.com if only i have the diligence. my camera is, after all, BRILLIANT in daylight.

i regretted having taken so little pictures of cookie, my previous dog. now when i look at the few i did take, she's pretty cute!! but well most were taken when she was either a. asleep or b. on the verge of falling asleep. this time, i took pictures of almond fully awake. hah!!! i will make you see so many pictures you'll dream of him tonight.

i found a flower.. and i fell in love with the colour... so............

almond is getting popular with my little brother's friends. i think according to the puppy guide book, he's said to be socialising. which is very important. so as of now almond has met other dogs, other puppies, other humans, a cat (i think) and a mouse it scared yesterday.

oh and he's teething. like suddenly today he woke up and started chewing on everything. sandals, fingers, toes, shirts [the kids downstairs are complaining, saying he just peed. see i told ryan to wait outside until he pees. didn't listen right. ckck] i will get really stressed soon.

by the way... I HATE FLEAS. i hardly see them. there are mostly ticks, those black dots that can grow so humongous and then i'll squish it (not with my fingers of course, i'd like to see you try that) and relish in the joy of seeing its body explode and blood splatter.

but with fleas!!! omg!! I CANNOT CATCH THEM. those stupid beings. they MOVE lah!!!! ticks mostly just attach themselves to the skin so you have plenty of sweet time trying to pluck them out. even if they're not attached, they move so slow the change is not visible.

gah i keep mixing up fleas and ticks. so fleas are:

so everytime i see a flea. it walks across the fur; i spot it; my fingers dive; i miss; it disappears. like gone so fast!!!!!! huff the little midget's trying to play with me huh. lemme tell you that if i manage to catch it, i will............ what will i do... squishing is boring already... maybe i'll chop it into pieces. maybe i'll wrap it in paper and burn it. maybe.... i'll be too freaked out and just end up squishing it..... ok being squished to death is already bad enough lah. i doubt i'll catch one though. they're pretty rare on almond. and i can't even catch mosquitoes properly.

did i mention i was ATTACKED by mosquitoes this evening?!?!?!?! like... a whole bunch started swarming around me. dengue fever mosquitoes!!! my garden has become lethal.

ps: we got married episode 43 and above are now available in mysoju!!!! i got the happiest shock of my life (which makes up for the not so happy shock received yesterday from a link ratna gave. i knew it!!). some are broken but still. it's a miracle! i thought i would never see another subbed video of wgm ever again. may all the mysoju people get pretty wives and handsome husbands with lots of money and live happily ever after.

behold almond:

ratna's mum was extremely kind and gave me milk, baby food for him, old cloths and even a big green basket.

but....... to my absolute horror...... i found..... TICKS. loads and loads of them. tiny specks and black dots of them. and also some bigger ones with their shameless visible legs sticking themselves to my poor baby.

i bathed her (horrible experience) and saw EVEN MORE of those nasty fugly alive beings. there was even this absolutely humongous one. another one dared to crawl across his face right in front of my very own eyes. me!!!! that bloody tick!!! it was asking for death!!!!!!!!!!! so death i gave it. HAHA.

fuck those home remedies. I WANT A FLEA SPRAY!!! FLEA DIP!!! FLEA POWDER!!!!!!!! you know that flea comb i bought? behhh!!! hardly worked. i thought it's supposed to pick out flea eggs or something. it couldn't even pick up that very visible black tick. just passed by it. so next time you guys wanna buy a flea comb, get the one with the least space between the.... the.... the....... long thin combing thingies.

well well keeping a dog is lots of hard work. since this guy's still extremely young, i'm keeping him by my side everytime unless my brother's watching over him or i've got him locked up in the toilet.

almond has the perfect personality. quite hyper, but when you hold him, he becomes quiet, or even sleeps. he sleeps like a whole damn lot lah. i took him out to play on the grass. and lo and behold, he slept.

my god isn't his fur just WONDERFUL

i didn't have the heart to wake him up, so i went in first. 'cuz there were all sorts of flying, crawling, hopping bugs biting me. ugh.

i found a basket in my little brother's room (a much smaller one than the one ratna's mum gave and it's perfect for his size). my mum handed me my dad's old, holey and yellowing clothes (the ones she hid so my dad won't wear them anymore), cut up. and poof a bed. so glad i didn't buy a dog bed.

oh. and guess what he's doing now?

yep. sleeping in it.

now go click that pale coral red (or whatever colour it is) post-it sticker on your right and babble squabble on how cute and adorable he is. don't worry, i fully agree with you.

i haven't seen the puppies for so long!! since 2 puppies have been given away, 4 dogs remain in ratna's house:

foxy and hivy's grown so much. hivy reaaaally looks like kelly (the mum). i was shocked to see that almost all the fur on her head's turned light brown. much more than kelly's did. so black body + light brown head???? she looks photoshopped.

boy is handsome handsome handsome~

outside the house, there are now 3 females plus ELEVEN PUPPIES. it remains a mystery who the dads are... omg maybe they're all boy's kids. one set is, for sure. ratna took in one of the puppies when it was raining today. and i.... fell in love <3

the fur!!!! boy's fur genes!! it's BEAUTIFULLLLLLLL. OMGOMGOMG I LOOOVE HIS FUUURRRR. there's like a pattern, swirls all over the place. and it's bloody smooth too!!!!

ok so his face actually looks pretty dumb. my mum blatantly said it's ugly. and i noticed he looks like he's spacing out most of the time (jadi ratna luh). but still!!!! and anyways he's still less than a month old laahh. you can't really see the real face yet.

the first moment we met, in the toilet, i sat down and he - who, according to ratna, had been all quiet and good - gained an ounce of hyperness and started clambering on me. ahh it's a BOND i'm telling you.

i did wonder why he kept trying to climb up up up so vigorously. it's almost like he's trying to feed through me. for god's sake, i can't possibly smell like his mum.

today we named him almond~ i was dying to take him home but he's only around 3 weeks old and i'm afraid he'd die so young in my care. also, after hours of reading up on yahoo answers a long time ago, i found out that you can only take the puppy from its mama 8 weeks after its birth. it's called weaning or something. so let's pray none of the neighbours will take him a month from now.

guess who came over today?

FOXY!!!!!!

i have decided. this is my favourite of the bunch. i'm so sorry lil' white one. it's because your cuteness disappeared and you're a wee bit too hyper now.

when she first arrived, foxy looked extremely scared. she was extra quiet and her whole body was shivering. when i put her down on the grass, she immediately slumped and stayed that way for a while. a very short while. soon she was running around and sniffing everything eagerly.

don't you think dogs look great on grass?? imagine the little ball of fur prancing around that lush green surface on a clear morning, when you can still smell the freshness of the air around you. maybe it's the colour contrast, or combination or.... you know what dogs are meant to play on grass!

ratna should get a house with a garden. but she said she'll be afraid of the bugs and insects there. there were white specks whizzing around in the air and she got scared. they didn't look like insects to me. more like... brownian motion.

pictures of my new puppy! name's cookie (vina came up with it). type? er.... no idea. they said the mum's a tekel but it looks more like chihuahua/mini pincher. dad? unknown :D yes people, it was an unplanned marriage.
